Below is a list of questions intended to assist in navigating through and ordering from HighlanderWine.com.

Do you use cookies?

HighlanderWine.com uses cookies to expedite your shopping experience. A cookie is information stored on your computer that HighlanderWine.com accesses upon your next visit to our site. The purpose of a cookie is to expedite your visit by self-populating certain registration fields and to provide us with information about the previous visits you have made to our site. If you do not allow cookies to be accepted by your computer your access may be limited to certain sectors of HighlanderWine.com.

Is my personal information protected?

All measures will be taken by HighlanderWine.com to protect the security of the information you provide; however, despite advanced security measures there is always the chance of information being intercepted by an outside source. Any information shared electronically with HighlanderWine.com is done so at your own risk.

It is each member's responsibility to protect their password against unauthorized access.

What personal information does HighlanderWine.com request?

HighlanderWine.com collects only the information necessary for providing you with the best possible customer service in the sale and delivery of liquor products. This information is collected when you initially register as a member, you can update your information at anytime.

Information collected includes your name, contact information, delivery address and billing information.

Does HighlanderWine.com make use of Log Files?

HighlanderWine.com logs member IP addresses and URL's in the functioning of our web site. This information is not associated with the personal profile of HighlanderWine.com members.

How does HighlanderWine.com use the personal information that it requests?

Information collected by HighlanderWine.com is used to deliver liquor products and information to members.

HighlanderWine.com also uses the information gathered to send members updates on featured items and special offers through our electronic newsletter.

Does HighlanderWine.com share member information?

No information you provide is shared or sold to any outside organization. Some information you provide is accessible to our hosting company, FrontLogic and our banking agent, Moneris Solutions in the functioning of our web site.

Do I need to register as a member to use the HighlanderWine.com web site?

HighlanderWine.com does not require you to register to order from or view our website. 

How do I update my personal information?

You can update your personal profile at any time by logging on and selecting View/Edit Account Details. It is your responsibility to maintain an accurate profile so that orders can be paid for and delivered in a timely fashion.

You may also update your profile by speaking with a customer service representative by calling 1-403-777-1922.

How do I subscribe/unsubscribe to HighlanderWine.com's newsletter?

HighlanderWine.com sends updates to the email address you provide during the registration process if you check the Email Updates box. These updates consist of special offers and upcoming events at Highlander Wine & Spirits. To unsubscribe from this newsletter simply update your personal profile and deselect the Email Updates box.

How will I know of Privacy Policy changes?

Notices of important policy changes will be emailed to members at the email address you have provided HighlanderWine.com. To receive these notices please ensure that your personal profile is kept current. Minor changes to the Privacy Policy will be updated on the web site without notice.

It is your responsibility as a HighlanderWine.com user to be knowledgeable of the terms of this policy. By using HighlanderWine.com you are acknowledging awareness and acceptance of any modifications to these terms.

If at any time you do not agree with the terms of this policy please email us at Customer Service and we will terminate your account.

We currently have three locations in Calgary to serve our customers.

 All locations are open everyday with the exception of Christmas Day.

How do I contact HighlanderWine.com?

Do you deliver?

Currently we deliver within Calgary city limits. During the checkout process a charge of $20.00 will be added to orders requesting delivery.

For deliveries outside Calgary and within Alberta please contact Highlander Wine & Spirits to make arrangements.

Do you offer discounts?

HighlanderWine.com customers receive a case lot discount with the purchase of 6 or 12 bottles. Case lot orders must be 6 or 12 bottles of the same product.  Case lot discounts apply to regular priced wine or spirit products only.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Orders for pick-up can be paid with: Highlander Wine & Spirits Gift card, cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We do not accept personal cheques. Orders for delivery are payable at the checkout stage of the ordering process with Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

If your credit card expires, is canceled, is lost or is used without your authorization, you must immediately notify HighlanderWine.com and provide a replacement credit card or corrected information either by updating your Personal Profile, calling 1-403-777-1922 or sending an email to Customer Service.

HighlanderWine.com is not responsible for any fees, penalties, costs or expenses issued by your bank or credit card company as a result of transactions performed on your account. You agree to be financially responsible for all activity on your account.

Can you help me with my wedding reception or corporate function?

Visit one of our three locations and our trained staff will provide you with all you need for your wedding or corporate event, including liquor permits.

Do your prices include GST?

A five percent (5%) government sales tax is included in all of our prices.

Do you charge a bottle deposit on your products?

Yes. Bottle deposits will be added to your order at the checkout phase of your order. Below is a list of bottle deposits.

Liquor, Wine, Cooler and Ciders

  • Less than or equal to 1 Litre .10
  • Greater than 1 Litre .25

Beer

  • Less than or equal to 1 Litre .10
  • Greater than 1 Litre .20

Big Rock, Sleeman, Molson and Labatt Kegs

  • $30.00

Will I receive a confirmation of my order?

HighlanderWine.com will send an order confirmation to the email address provided in your personal profile. If an email cannot be sent a phone confirmation will be made to the number provided in your personal profile.

Delivery and Returns

Do you charge for delivery?

Currently we deliver within Calgary city limits. During the checkout process a charge of $20.00 will be added to orders requesting delivery.

How does HighlanderWine.com deliver my order?

HighlanderWine.com employs a team of drivers to ensure your order arrives on time.

How long does it take for HighlanderWine.com to deliver my order?

All orders are shipped from our North Hill location. Orders which are placed Monday through Thursday will be delivered within 24 hours. Orders placed Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be delivered the following Monday.

Does HighlanderWine.com ship outside of Alberta?

At this time, HighlanderWine.com is only allowed to ship within the province of Alberta.

When does HighlanderWine.com deliver?

HighlanderWine.com ships year round; we do not ship on major holidays or on Sundays. Delivery hours are Monday through Friday between 10 AM and 8:30 PM MST.

Is there a minimum quantity I need to order to be eligible for delivery?

There is no minimum order required for delivery.

What happens if a product I order is out of stock?

HighlanderWine.com will endeavor to fill orders completely and will email an order confirmation with the final total and itemized product list when the availability of the products has been verified.

If a product is not available it will not appear on the delivery slip and there will be no charge to the credit card provided.

Can I request specific items not listed in your inventory?

You may request a product not currently available by selecting the Request This Item link and filling out the attached form. HighlanderWine.com will attempt to locate that item and contact you with information about availability as soon as possible.

What recourse do I have if I receive a faulty product?

HighlanderWine.com will accept returns on products that are unopened and resalable; however, we cannot accept returns on items that are special orders. Store credit will be issued for any returns.

HighlanderWine.com will accept returns on wines that are corked or oxidized. You must return the bottle with the remaining wine; we cannot accept an empty bottle. If the faulty item is one we carry we will replace the product, if it is a product we do not currently stock we will issue store credit.

Corked or oxidized wine will only be accepted if it was purchased within three months of the date of return.

Proof of purchase must be provided with any returns.

Can I track my order?

Accessing HighlanderWine.com

Creating an Account

To create an account simply select Register on any of our pages and fill out the attached form. After you are registered you may update your personal profile at any time by logging on and selecting View/Edit Account Details.

It is not required that you create an account to place orders on HighlanderWine.com.

Searching HighlanderWine.com

The Quick Product Finder is the most effective tool for finding a specific product on HighlanderWine.com.  If you do not know the name of the item you are looking for you can search by selecting one of the product categories located in the header of each page.
